APPOINTMENTS:
Patients are seen 9am-5pm, on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and some Wednesdays. Appointments are made over the phone, and referrals are not necessary unless your insurance plan requires one.
NEW PATIENT appointments are not being accepted at this time as spots open up only infrequently.
INSURANCES ACCEPTED:
Participating with most major health companies, including Medicare, Tricare for Life, Blue Cross Blue Shield, United Healthcare, Health Net, Cigna, and Humana, although not all plans within a company may be covered. Aetna and Health Choice have deferred requests for contracts. Provider preference is for a traditional Medicare plan with a supplement.
***Provider is no longer accepting any new patients on Medicare Advantage, nor will be able to continue with any current patients who are newly transitioning to Medicare Advantage.***
PREPARING FOR YOUR VISIT:
Please bring a current list of your medications with their doses to every appointment. Also remember your driver's license and insurance card(s), and your copay if required by your insurance plan. Cash, check and credit card are all accepted.
MEDICATION REFILLS:
Please allow 48 hours when you need refills, and plan ahead for weekends, holidays, and vacations.
Although the usual standard is to call the pharmacy for refills, please call Dr. Reed directly at (520) 780-8748, leaving the medication name, strength, number used each day, whether 30- or 90-day supplies are preferred, and which pharmacy.
MEDICATION SHORTAGES:
Over the past few years, there have been intermittent shortages of Parkinson's medications including various forms of carbidopa/levodopa tablets. The FDA has a drug shortage webpage where you can look up information. Use the link below and type levodopa into the search bar.

PATIENT PORTAL:
The online patient portal is a government mandated but secure way to access personal health information, view account balances and statements, and pay bills online. It is not, however, the easiest way for your provider to find your messages.
